Sunday Night - very late.
Highlights only:
The Lady went to Ireland on Monday.
Ravena_Kade Came to visit on Wednesday very late and stayed through mid-day Sunday. Not nearly long enough. I miss her so much already. =(
Vacation days on Thurs & Friday.
Saw San Andreas on Thursday (5 star disaster pic)
Drove to Chicago on Friday to eat at Rick Bayless' Frontera Restaurant. Excellent Mexican food. Afterwards went to Lincoln Park Zoo, where I didn't even get out of the car (Bad kness!)
Saturday did one of those Escape Room challenges. This one was by Escape Champbers. Had a ton of fun!
Saturday afternoon both Baby Bro and B got sick, both gastro-intestinal, so we think food poisoning. B was barfing all night and half of today. =(
Watched American Pharoah run away with the Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes (Yippee!) It's been a very long time since Secretariat (1973), Seattle Slew (1977), and Affirmed (1978)!
Sat. evening, M & Ravena & I went out to dinner at a local bar/restaurant, Leff's Luckiy Town, with a nice patio. The patio was nicer than the food. Don't think we'll go back. Came home and watched Guardians of the Galaxy, Ravena had not seen it before, I worked while I watched. I liked it better the 2nd time around, since I stayed awake for all of it. =)
Today was the airport run, dog park, 2 hours of lost time, working, dinner run to Culvers, B feels better, and then the Tony's while I worked more.
I'm really stressing about a deadline at work this Frdiday. It's 2 big projects. I finally got the majority of one finished tonight, but I have about 120 hours of work to do on the second one. Chances of it being completed by the Friday deadline: 0%
Chances of it being completed by next Monday morning at 8 a.m.... 65%, assuming I work every night late and all next weekend since I've barely started any work on it. I can't pull all nighters from now until Friday, because I just can't anymore. It's bad enough I'm staying up additional time to write this short update.
Side effect of the stress is that everyting is giving me heartburn. I can't tell if the restaurant food is really backing up on me, or if it's the stress. Except there was definitely GARLIC in my pork sandwich at Leff's last night. Floosh! Straight through me.
And on that note I am off to bed!
