Another Sunday
Quick recap on the week.
1. I have finished 2 of the 3 books I've been reading. Routinely I now have 3 books going: 1 on tape in the car, 1 on the phone that I read in 5 minute increments when I'm waiting around places, and currently 1 in paper (but otherwise usually on my Kindle). Finished both electronic books ad haven't had time to find more to read. Boo!
2. SIL and Nova left this afternoon. It is going to seem very quiet around here. We've had Nova since the 4th of September. Tomorrow is going to be very hard for Lycan. (It only took m 15 minutes to clean out the refrigerator, after she left. AS much as I love my SIL, and I do, she keeps way too much stuff in our frig when she visits. And this time, because they were cleaning out her parent's house (and the buyer did pay cash, which is why the closing was so quick) and some of their food ended up in our freezer and fridge. Surprisingly, we do NOT need a gallon of bean soup, and we do not need 4 different jars of ice cream toppings from an ice cream party last July, even if they were barely touched, etc. The frozen tomatoes...I'll keep those for now.)
3. We've made the appointment with the vet to get Lycan spayed and tummy tacked,on Dec. 12th.
4. A new gourmet popcorn place opened up near M's work. We got some carmel corn for game night in Saturday. It was really good. By the way, if you get the carmel corn with sea salt that becomes "premium" level and the price doubles. (Double boo!)
5. We had game night in Saturday, played Phase 10, Blokus, Mouse Trap, and Password.
6. Put in a new shower head tonight. It's awesome having water pressure again!
7. We are no longer a Nielson family. I must say it was a pain in the ass to fill in the diaries.
Looking forward, it's self-assessment time at work, in preparation for our Reviews just before Thanksgiving. I was supposed to have mine done by Friday, but I had a lot of fire-fighting this past week and didn't get to it. I got an extension until Tuesday. And I'm dreading writing it, even though I've done a lot of good work this past year. I hate how my manager makes me feel. HATE IT. (Triple Boo!)
