Friday - This was a very fast week
Git into work about an hour early today & M came with me. That was fun! We had an appointment at 9:45, so it wasn't worth M going into work first, but it was worth it for me. I dropped off the baby shower stuff.
We got this balloon (since I'm on the laptop and its easy to embed pics):
Appropriate for a gift of a "stroller system".
This is the stroller we got her. It has the infant car seat that can mount right on the stroller.
We had to leave before the shower started,but that's the luck. Ended up at docs for 2.5 hours because they could do the follow-up procedure immediately. Yay for everything coming together, another patient coming in very early, the doc willing to work through her lunch hour. They probably saved us having to come to 2 more appointments. Win!
Left there and drove through Culvers for a quick burger for lunch, then everyone back to work. I got back just in time for our weekly team meeting. Which was interrupted by the state-wide tornado drill. Everyone to the basement. By the time I traversed the length of the 2 attached buildings to get to the elevator that goes to the basement, everyone was coming back up. So a nice walk. By the time we got out of the meeting it was 3pm and I was done, it's been a long super-stressful week, not even taking into account current events. I took care of e-mail, and finally started an action step from the team meeting before picking up M.
We had Chipotle for dinner (again). What can I say, it's healthy and it has veg and I didn't have to cook it.
Tonight I am grateful for - finding lost friends. (Sending much love to Canada!)
I'm really grateful to helpful docs.
And I'm grateful for my coworkers when they are feeling cooperative and helpful and, ya' know, will actually talk to me.
