PAXEast 2012

It was sort of a last minute decision, but Mike and I decided to attend PAXEast. Here is a short report of the things I saw and did.


Day 0
  • Drove up to Delaware to pick Pernell
  • Went up to Philly to get Vinh
  • Dropped Vinh off in New Jersey
  • Stopped at the Mitsuwa for a delicious meal and a tea and One Piece X Hello Kitty magnets purchase
  • Stuck in NYC traffic for a
  • Boston a bit before 11PM
  • They placed us in a handicapped suite (this is the 4th time this has happened to us)

Day 1
  • Expo hall
  • Met Suda51
  • Spent some time in Tabletop freeplay
  • Ate at the amazingly delicious Legal Test Kitchen


Day 2
  • Got into costume
  • Irrational Games Panel took a look at the character and creature development for Bioshock Infinite
  • Mike took a few photos and I got out of costume
  • Expo hall
  • DS Lounge
  • Crazy huge dinner at the classic Anthony’s Pier 4
  • Watched old anime up in my room


Day 3
  • PA Q & A
  • Expo Hall
  • The most amazing Omegathon: Final Round I have ever seen

Boston isn’t a bad city, it’s just not as cool as Seattle. I think that’s why Prime will always be superior. Though, I had a great weekend and I will, of course, be going to PAX again and again. Aside from the impossibly difficult-to-get-into SDCC, this is the only convention I really enjoy as an attendee.
