Met up with Syu in town on Friday. Was really surprised that she agreed to meet me considering she still has two more papers to go :)
Starbucks 1-for-1 Mocha Cookie Frappe @ 313. The barista was so funny. He didn't even give me a chance to agree and just told me 'I'll call you T kay.'
With Syu! :) I look sooo sleepy.
Gave her a belated birthday present :)
Inside joke. & one too many coincidences ;)
Got my Yankee candle at Taka. The candle auntie was hilarious. 'Smell all, smell all!' 'The not nice one, I hide at the back.' Lol! :D
We girls went crazy at Watsons! I think Syu spent over $100! :D
Her stash!
I've never seen anyone carry such a hugeee Watsons bag :)
Walked around some more to Belif, Sephora etc where I sneakily bought a Burts Bees lip balm for this lip balm princess :)
We had dinner at Popeye's cos she wanted cheese fries while I was craving for CHICKEN :D (and I had coupons which were expiring end of April)
Soo yummeh! :D
Shopping stash from Friday :D
Bought the bigass Yankee candle in Pink Sands. Was deciding between Vanilla Cupcake (really smells like something baking, not my kind of scent), Pink Sands and Bahama Breeze (smells like a cocktail / margarita - might get this next time!). I decided to get Pink Sands cos it smells like bubblegum/ really sweet scent! :D Reminded me of my Lush Snow Fairy as well. It's burning beside me rn as I type this.
Just look at the pink! So gorgeous :)
150 hours baybeh!
Not cheap but I guess it's okay to splurge on something that benefits the whole family :)
So glad I bought the last Pink Sands (big bottle). So much more worth it that the small one which is around 100g for $19.90. I think the big jar makes the scent more intense as well :) Love lighting it up for awhile and coming back to my room smelling like sweet bubblegum!
Got the new Soap&Glory body scrub from Sephora!
Love the name of the scrub! Especially hilarious if you get the reference/pun! :D
I love the description in the yellow box. 'A bit rough around the edges' Lol!!
Tried this today in the shower. I don't really like the scent (orangey) but love the pumice bits in the scrub. It's pretty fine but does a good job of giving my skin a good exfoliation. The scrub with bigger bits and more abrasive is the Soap&Glory's 'The Breakfast Scrub' which my bf got for me from Sephora KL. Smells like maple syrup and I love that one better I guess. Rougher = makes me feel more squeaky clean :) Love 'Pulp Friction' for it's squeeze tube design though.
Was thinking of getting Angels on Bare Skin from LUSH but the SA told me that it's more for combi skin. I told her I have oily skin and she recommended Herbalism to me since it's less abrasive.
Love thyself.
Really short shelf life because of the lack of preservatives and all natural ingredients.
I used this in the shower as well today.
Take a little bit of the mixture. Mix it with a bit of water in on your palm to form a paste and apply it on your face in circular motions because the ground almonds will help to exfoliate the skin. I left it like a mask on my face for a few minutes while I scrubbed my body cos I heard that it enables the ingredients to work on your skin and absorb the oil. When I washed it off, my skin felt really smooth and soft :) Shall use it more often and hopefully, I'll be able to see results!
Many people complained about the smell but I love it. Smells like GRASS. Very refreshing for me :)
Got these Uriage stuffs from Watsons.
Free samples from the SA. I love samples! :D
Initially I was only interested in this cleansing water. Watsons was having a 20% discount on this brand.
But the SA was very convincing and I got this gel-creme. It is a water based moisturiser. She told me that I have an oily t-zone, large pores, dry cheeks and sensitive skin (redness). Never knew that my skin was so problematics. I've always thought that it was just an oil slick.
The cleansing water is used like a toner. Pour some on a cotton pad and wipe it on your entire face to remove dirt. She advised me to do this in the morning and at night. Followed by a cleanser at night only to remove the gunk that has been on the face for the entire day. Not in the morning cos we don't want to overcleanse. And then usual toner and moisturiser. She actually told me to withhold my moisturiser (I'm using the Naruko's Oil Out range) for 3 days because my skin is dry outside but oily inside. The gel-creme is water based and will allow moisture to be absorbed better into the skin instead of only lying on top of the surface of the skin. After three days, I'd be able to apply my usual moisturiser on top of the gel-creme.
The gel-creme absorbs right in. Tried this on my face today but it didn't leave my skin matte. I was oily instead :( I just waited a few minutes for the gel-creme to absorb and then blotted the excess off. Shall try it for longer to see if it really works.
Got Philosophy's Purity sample while walking down the streets :) Can't wait to try it before committing to the full sized bottle. I've too many unfinished cleansers as well! And yes, Philosophy has arrived in Singapore! Check out Sephora! :D
Got Essence lipliners from Watsons @ NAC too!
$2.20 each. I remember R telling me to get lipliners when I did her MU for her birthday party at the start of the year :)
L-R : Satin Mauve, Honey Bun.
Creamy lipliners! Look at how it bends. I'm not liking the smell of these :/
Tried a new hijab style. Was just playing around and experimenting with the scarf that Nis gave me :) I think I need more practice.
