Hello there friends, family, countrymen, and other various relations. Theres been developments in the past few days. I'm not complaining though. I have officially been given charge of an M240B: a 7.62 x 51mm NATO gas-operated, air-cooled, belt-fed, fully automatic, general purpose machine gun that fires from the open bolt position. It weighs 27.6 lbs and is 47 in long. When mounted on a tripod it is 17.5 in high. I could give you all the informations you wanted on this weapon from memory, but the point is I have been given the single most deadly weapon in a dismounted infantry platoon's arsenal. Normally I would be very happy about all of this, but for some reason I'm kind of just not very enthusiastic. Maybe there's just not something right with me today. Oh well.
In other news I bought my first gun. It's a M1944 mosin-nagant carbine w/ a permanantly attached bayonet. I was going to zero it today, but I don't have it registered on post yet and I need to get my CO's signature to do that and I don't have a CO at this current point in time. In the mean time I'm going to keep it at a friend's house who lives off-post, while I'm at it I may want to move all (or almost) the stuff I'm not supposed to have out to his place. In a related topic I also bought a 50 lbs crossbow for $20, sweet huh?
Thats all. Out.
