I was playing Left 4 Dead online a while ago, and man I sucked.
Normally I'm pretty good...2nd or 3rd in kill count, highest or second highest in accuracy, good at covering the others' backs when fighting off swarms, etc. etc. etc...but today I backed into a room instead of a hallway and got flattened by a tank, trapped myself in a subway car and got killed by another tank, accidentally startled a witch because I was shooting zombies, turned, saw her at the edge of the screen, and fired on impulse (that one got me kicked from the server by the other players after joining about 5 minutes earlier)...it was pretty rough. I finally had to just give it up for today and log off for the sake of my own bruised pride.
But still...you've got your bad days, and that's understandable. What I don't get is the idiots who run far ahead snatching pills and medkits and get caught by a smoker or hunter, and yet flip out on you when you fall off of a catwalk or bump into a car that has an alarm. They're all like "OHSHITYOUALERTEDTHEHORDEYOU'RETHEWORSTPLAYEREVER" But...it's just a horde. A couple guys with machine guns or even one guy who's really good with the auto-shotgun could hold it off on most difficulty levels. It's not that big of a deal, really.
