Second Day of Classes

Fiction Workshop seems like it'll be exactly like Creative Writing, with a less prepared teacher. There are two required texts, neither of which he consulted the bookstores about apparently as they don't even carry them.

But I still like the class. There's this girl who reminds me of Max's Claire (appearance-wise). She's a Japanese major and has like Japanese everything. So of course this happened to be the day I wore my "Looking for a Japanese girlfriend" shirt. It became a recurring gag throughout the class. There's also another kinda nerdy girl who's in the middle of writing a fantasy trilogy series. I can't wait to read her stories. I hope they take place in the Gumdrop Forest.

After class I have basically two hours to eat lunch before my next class. It makes no sense to walk all the way across campus to my dorm during this break, so I'm stuck in South campus for a while. But I did find the study lounge for English majors, so this gives me a good opportunity to do homework/read stuff.

We had the discussion for my Global Film class. It'll be more writing than last year's film class, but we'll be watching The Seventh Seal, Pan's Labyrinth, and My Neighbor Totoro, so that's cool. And the teaching assistant in charge of discussion seems like she's a year or two older than me. Zach would totally be crushing on her right now.
