Wow, haven't posted in ages!
How are all of you?
College is rockin. My floor (the McDungeon, or basement of McDowell here at American) is kickass. Everyone who lives down here is cool, and we all hang out and have really great times. Like yesterday, when our awesome RA organized a 2 floor poker tournament which basically became a massive 3 table affair with a huge Backstreet boys singalong to go along with it. The funny thing is, that's not the first backstreet boys singalong we've had, nor the last i'm sure.
i'm having a blast, my classes are actually INTERESTING and my profs are for the most part really cool. For my Intro to Systems of Justice class i get to go on a police ridealong in one of the sketchy parts of D.C... that should prove interesting!
Speaking of D.C., it's a kickass city, with a ton to do. The great thing is i can hop a shuttle then the metro and be at the national mall in about 20 minutes for $1.35. then, the mall is ripe with tons of free attractions... including crazy sports and pickup games on the mall itself, the smithsonian museums, and random weird events that happen frequently.
oh, and to confirm the coolness of D.C... i was just walking along with a small group minding my own business near federal triangle today when i realized the guy crossing the road ahead of us was Dennis Kucinich, the democratic primary running guy from ohio who happens to be absolutely insane if you ask me. So we struck up with him, he was really friendly, and we got a picture with him. Sweetness.
