I promise a long third chapter and possibly a fourth (possibly a fifth, depending on where the chapters break up naturally).
I thought that Laura's experiences on New Caprica should, or rather could, have been addressed on the show but sadly weren't. We never got to see how she dealt with whatever she went through, apart from seeing her in cell briefly, we have no idea what they put her through. But for her to clam up so much about the situation, and for her to display such anger towards Baltar and others she holds accountable for NC, it makes sense to me that a lot more happened on the planet than we might first have been led to believe.
Also, I know I did it in a joking way, but I think it's very important that the Quorum and the press know that something isn't quite right with Laura Roslin. The fact that she is with the Admiral etc. I think that being someone who is so publically criticised and observed, it would be very difficult for this kind of thing not to make it into the press or back to the Quorum. After what happened at Baltar's trial where she was put on the stand and forced to answer questions she might not have wanted to answer at that time, I think that the fleet can be brutal sometimes and that was only the tip of the iceberg.
