growing more things
i bought a book on container gardening. seeing those three green knobby tomatoes made me remember how much i like gardening. and that i CAN here, on my cat-free balcony. it was an omen that nothing would grow at that house.
i will be running outside to check my egg carton of peppers every ten seconds for the next month.
i wonder if i could find strawberry plants at Home Despot.
what i really want to grow someday is my own lotus but that's a heavy proposition.
i want tomatoes, lavender, bell peppers, chives or green onions (are they the same things? i like to eat them with salt), parsley (though i'll just eat the entire plant and need a new one immediately), meyers lemons, and basil. maybe lettuce of some sort. and a lotus.
