You need to read Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. It's as simple as that. I've never fallen in love with a novel so quickly or so deeply before. The word "resonant" immediately comes to mind. It's like reading a funhouse mirror version of my life, only a thousand times better because it's real in all the right places and fictional everywhere else.
