A Decent End to an All Around Shitty Day
Have you ever spent hours searching for a fic you read awhile ago (literally a few days short of a year in my case), only to find out that you'd already bookmarked the damn thing? *headdesk*
It's three in the morning and, like it's been for the last several weeks, now is when I'm finally able to really devote any real amount of time to personal/casual online use. So, I'll read for an hour, max, and then shuffle off to bed, only to start another day bright and early at six. Luckily, tomorrow through Saturday isn't near as busy as Sunday through Thursday-usually. I'm volunteering for another five hours in the scene shop tomorrow afternoon after classes, and then there's another guest poet receiving the university's award tomorrow evening, at which point said poet will speak and give a reading, and after that there's the reception dinner. But, hopefully I'll be home by eleven tomorrow night, instead of tonight's one-thirty. Then Friday's pretty much a walk in the park. I'm done by 2:30 in the afternoon, and I think you can hazard a guess as to what my weekend looks like. I have no social life because I have no time for one-well, that and the fact that I excel at being a hermit. Saturdays I don't even leave the house. I just sleep all day, no joke. And watch football if my team's playing. :)
It's probably not a big leap then to conclude that I have no time whatsoever in which to write fanfic. My brain is barely chugging along at this point of the day (night? morning?!), and I'm sure it's taken me longer than it should have to write this. I haven't written a fic-ish word in, oh, easily more than three weeks.
Alas.
