Was Neil Gaiman's first adult novel 'American Gods'? I have just read his 'Neverwhere' and it was obviously writen for 12 - 16 year olds. Fantastic story line - but - although I enjoyed it, it lacked deth (sorry, spelling or fingers not working). I started his "Fragile Things" short stories and I get the sames feeling.
I am now reverting to more substantial reading which will be beyond me. Please suggest something good to stop me making eye contact with fellow passengers on the communter train to Leeds (and back).
