blah. another day at school.
during gym, Tori taught me dance audition combination for "Footloose," which seemed a little hard at first, but I need to practice it with the CD once I get home, so I hope I'll able to do it well once audition time rolls around. I have to admit I'm not the best dancer, and I REALLY want to be either Vi (the minister's wife, who doesn't have to dance) or Ethel (Ren's mother...I don't know whether or not she dances). I don't think there's anyone else in competition for either of those roles, unless they are given to seniors. I am a junior, but there aren't many seniors that appear to be shooting for the roles I want.
i had a little talk with Mr. Cendrowski after Analysis today, and I found out why it seems to me like he's not teaching as well as he should be. It's just that I need to participate more and put forth more effort. It's also a matter of understanding the material, and I've decided that if I don't understand it, I'll go in and get extra help.
Stroup wasn't here today, so we basically just had a study hall period during Band, and I was able to get some Chem homework done, which is always good. Stroup and his wife are expecting their first child sometime within the next month, so I wonder how things are going with his wife...Hopefully he'll let us know tomorrow.
today after school, I have a music audition rehearsal for "Footloose," where I'll be learning some of the music that I'll have to sing at my audition (of which I don't know the date). After listening to the CD numerous times (but with certain tracks on repeat; more specifically "The Girl Gets Around" and "I'm Free"), I am really psyched for this show. As soon as showtime gets closer, I'm hoping to really get into publicizing the performance. Maybe I'll get together with some drama buddies and go to different businesses and put up posters (with their permission, of course) and ask them to put ads in our playbill.
as of now, I have absolutely no money at all. it sucks. Lately, I've been thinking of making jewelry with the supplies I already have (even though I need more) and find a way to sell them. I wonder if I were to take my wares over to JennK, Jenn (the owner) can look at them and tell me whether or not she would want to sell them in her store.
Drop me a comment!
