(no subject)
i've decided that in addition to posting my regular entries, that all of my blogs will serve as a place for me to post the lyrics to whatever song comes to my mind (even though it may or may not describe my current mood or be a song that I'm listening to as I'm typing, and I may or may not choose to justify why I chose that particular song).
exactly a year ago today, I found out I was going to meet Hanson on October 28, 2005. that was hands-down one of the happiest moments of my life--realizing that one of my lifetime dreams had finally come true. So, in that spirit, I'll leave you with one of my original songs:

You can probably guess which band the first verse is about (if you know me well), but just keep in mind that the 2nd verse was originally written about 2 of my friends who graduated high school a few years ago, but the original words just didn't seem to fit...it was changed from "We met in high school; playing in the concert band" to "We met in a coffeehouse while I was playing with my band." The point here is that when I was much younger, I used to think my dreams couldn't come true because when I was 9 years old, I had applied for a Meet and Greet pass to a LeAnn Rimes concert but was not one of the 50 lucky fan club members to win a pass. Jump ahead 7 years and I join the Hanson fan club in hopes of meeting them at an official Hanson.net Meet and Greet. I pay the ridiculous annual membership fee, post on the forums like crazy, and then on October 2, 2005, I receive an e-mail from Ashley Greyson (a close, personal friend of the Hanson family) saying, "Congratulations! You have just won a Meet and Greet with Hanson! I seriously cannot believe my eyes, and then a little under four weeks later, I find myself standing right in front of Isaac, Taylor, and Zac with an autographed copy of my original demo CD in hand. That experience proved to me that my dreams could come true if I stayed true to them and worked towards achieving them. Who else (besides anyone else who has had the privilege of meeting Hanson) can say that they've gotten a hug from Taylor?
