Some time ago, I pinned
this ridiculous thing on Pinterest as a link to my blog post. I think the caption I put on it makes it clear that I think the sentiments expressed on the graphic are laughable, but I'm not sure if my commenters quite grasped that nuance.
This is the comment I found this morning:
No. We aren't after the same thing. I feel as though Homosexuals are so selfish. Men and Women have the parts to make children TOGETHER. Two men could never do that, nor could two women. To have a child you need a Man and a Women. There is something to be said about a man and women unable to have a child, because of the sad inability and infertility. Tell me how it is that a man and a man make a baby without a women in the process? How can a woman and a woman make a child without a man in the process? It can't happen. There is no infertility, no disability. Therefore it can't be right. God said to multiply and replenish the earth, How do homosexuals do that exactly? Without the help of others. Don't you see where that's wrong? Don't say the same is to be said for Hetero couples who use surrogates and fertilization. They have all they right parts, and you know its no argument. We aren't homophobic. We just know the difference between right and wrong.
And she also re-pinned, thus duplicating a link to my blog.
I guess this is what I get for using Pinterest as a link station for my less-than-innocuous blog.
I'd feel bad about giggling over this sad woman's word salad, except sexual minorities are up against so much garbage because of ideas like this.
