Everything was fine between Junsu and me again, however I still have the small problem of Yuri to settle. I called my boss and explained to him the little thing that Yuri did which nearly had my cover blown and he agreed that she will not appear in the school again but she would still be supporting me in the case. At least that was settled, I don’t ever want to go through the same thing again. To say Yuri was not pleased with the development was an understatement, she was royally pissed off but who asked her to mess with me and Junsu’s relationship. At least now that I know most of the guys are such good fighters I don’t have to worry so much about Junsu’s safety. At least his best friend Eunhyuk would be more than enough to protect him if anything happens.
The next few days passed by quickly with things returning to normal between Junsu and me. He was recovering from his illness from earlier quickly too, that’s a huge load off my shoulder. I didn’t like seeing him looking so pale and frail, that’s so unlike him. Eunhyuk was still being the irritating guy he is, barging in at the most inappropriate times but I understand that’s just his way of caring for Junsu. And speaking of the guys, I think my suspicions of Yunho as the agent is more or less confirmed with him and Jaejoong at the gym.
Everything seems fine until I saw Junsu getting into Shiwon’s car again one day after school. I was curious. What was their relationship actually? When does a family doctor go all out of way to come and pick up his patient? I had to ask Changmin.
“So what’s the deal with this Shiwon? Why does he have to come and pick up Junsu?” I asked Changmin.
“Erm… How would I know?” he said, this was strange, he usually seems to know everything.
“Why can’t he pick up Junsu? Jealous?” Eunhyuk challenged.
“Yes. He’s my boyfriend. Of course I have the right to ask.” I retorted.
“Please, you can’t hold a candle to him.”
“Changmin, is he a suitor of Junsu?” I looked at the boy, waiting for his answer.
“Erm…” The boy tried not to look at me. This was suspicious.
“Ha ha, just tell him the truth, Changmin.” Eunhyuk said, clearly pleased.
“That’s all in the past now.” He finally said, he seems to be hiding something from me.
“ Was that what you meant when you said I was not Junsu’s type?” I asked, suddenly remembering the conversation we had previously.
“Of course you’re not Junsu’s type. Just take Shiwon, he’s a doctor, he’s smart and good-looking and of course he comes from a rich family too. So do you meet any of those? No. I can’t understand why the heck Junsu chose you; he must not be feeling right when he picks you plus the fact I was not around.” Eunhyuk grumbled.
“I think Shiwon hyung is just worried about Junsu hyung’s health. Junsu hyung seldom fall sick so of course he is a bit more concerned.“
“Ya, Junsu said he’s going for a check up today.” Eunhyuk admitted.
“Hyung, I don’t mean what I said when I said you’re not Junsu hyung type.” Changmin said.
“So what do you actually mean when you’re said that? Explain yourself.”
“”What I’m trying to say is that Junsu hyung had never dated a guy before so I can’t really said what type he goes for.”
“So, he’s not gay?”
“Erm…we’re not sure. Well, he does have both guys and girls asking him out.”
“So what are you guys discussing so intently?” Yunho and Jaejoong suddenly appeared out of nowhere or maybe it’s just that we were so intent on our topic that we didn’t notice them.
“Nothing.” All three of us said in unison.
“Let’s go and grab a bite. I’ve something to ask you guys.” He said.
“So what are you guys doing on Sunday?” He asked us as we finally decided on a small café and were now sitting down waiting for our orders to come.
“I’m bringing Jaejoong to the amusement park, do you guys wanna join us?” We looked at each other, this was surprising since when did the Jaeho wanted company?
“Yes, I wanna go.” Changmin shouted out his reply. The boy was like a big kid.
I remember I wanted to bring Junsu to the amusement park for our date before. This was a good chance.
“Count me in too.” We all looked at Eunhyuk for his answer.
“No thanks.” Eunhyuk said.
“Suit yourself.” Yunho was not at all upset that he didn’t want to come with us.
“I will ask Junsu later.” I said, thinking I should made a trip to my boyfriend‘s house since I ‘m still worried about him and the doctor guy. After we finished eating, I walked with Changmin back, while Eunhyuk said he had something else to do. We saw Junsu getting out of Shiwon’s car just as we reached his place.
“Junsu.” I called out to him at the same time moving forward to hug my boyfriend.
“What?” he was surprised by my reaction.
“Nothing, I just missed you.” I said, hugging him closer.
“Micky, we just saw each other in class.” He smiled at my response.
“Hyung, can we do this somewhere else where people won’t stare?” Changmin said, breaking the moment.
We took the lift up to their level and then went our separate ways, Changmin back to his place and Junsu and me back to his place.
“Are you feeling ok?” I asked Junsu, looking at him from head to toe.
“Yes, I’m fine now. Why do you ask and why are you here suddenly?”
“Can’t I visit my boyfriend? I saw you going off with the doctor guy so I was wondering.”
“Oh, Shiwon, it’s nothing, just a small check up. Of course you can come over but usually people do call first. What if I’m not back yet?” He smiled at my silliness.
“Then I will have to trouble Changmin.”
“Su, do you want to go to the amusement park on Sunday? Yunho and Jaejoong are going and they invited us to join them. Everyone else is going.” I looked expectantly at my boyfriend.
“This Sunday?”
“Yes. It’ll be like a date for us. We haven’t been on one since the last one.”
“Oh Micky, I would love to go with you but I can’t this Sunday, my family have a big event in Jeju Island and I’m expected to attend.” Junsu apologizes to me. What can I said? Sigh. The disappointment must have showed in my face because he quickly moved to give me a peck on my cheek, surprising me.
“Next time?” he said. I wanted to pull him in for a better kiss but the doorbell rang. Shit I’m so going to kill the person. Junsu went to open the door.
“Eunhyuk? What’s up?” I heard Junsu asked. Damn. It’s that guy again. It’s like he has a Yoosu radar when he knows we are getting too close. I sank down onto the couch, resigned to my fate of not being able to kiss my boyfriend.
“What are you doing here?” Eunhyuk asked as he saw me lying limply on the couch.
“What about you?” I said staring at him, hoping he will get the message and go back but obviously he is either too thick to notice it or he chooses to ignore it.
“Me? I’m here to make sure that Junsu is ok.” The second one was the more likely reason.
“So, Su, how’s the check up? Everything ok?” I could hear the concern in his voice.
“Yeah, everything’s ok. You don’t have to worry. Oh, I heard Yunho and Jaejoong hyung are going to the amusement park this Sunday, are you going too?”
“No. Are you going with your boyfriend?” he said looking at me.
“I can’t, appa have a event on Jeju Island on Sunday and I have to help out.” Junsu said.
“Too bad.” Eunhyuk smirked at me, pleased that I won’t be enjoying my day.
Sunday came and we all went to the amusement park. It was not fun without Junsu around, especially when I have to tag along with Changmin since I didn’t want to disturb the jaeho couple. They were holding hands openly, so they do have something going on. Why don’t they just tell us already? I mean the rest of us already more or less guessed it from the way they’re behaving.
Changmin was like a big kid let loose, wanting to try the different rides and pulling me along with him. It would have been more fun If only he could get rid of his food obsession, pulling me with him to try the different food too. It was bloody tiring to do so and still keep an eye out for Jaejoong not to mention the crowd in an amusement park on Sunday. Anything could happen if I don’t keep my eyes open.
I wonder how Junsu was doing at Jeju Island. How I wish I could be with him instead of these three, not that they aren’t good company just that I prefer someone else’s company. I wanted to join him but then I remember the mission, to protect Jaejoong and that means I have to be close to him. I was totally wiped out by the end of the day; I could only look forward to the next day when I could see Junsu at school. However things never happen the way you want it to happen.
The next day, there was a new student in class from America, apparently this guy is on a student exchange program. Well, normally I would not care less about this sort of thing except one he is from America, where Jaejoong came from and the second is he knows Junsu cause the first thing he did was to went straight for Junsu and give him a big hug.
“Junsu-ah, I missed you so much.” The guy said as he was hugging Junsu.
“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in America?” Eunhyuk asked as he pulled him away from Junsu. This was the first time I felt like thanking his best friend for doing the thing I wanted to do.
“Well, didn’t you hear the teacher say that I’m on an exchange program?” the guy replied, still trying to reach for Junsu.
“How can I leave my precious Junsu here alone when he is sick?” He continued.
“How do you know about that?” Junsu asked in surprise.
“I met your Dad the other day in New York and he told me.”
“Junsu ah. Who’s this?” I finally asked the question that had been bothering since the guy turned up.
“Guys, Continue with your little reunion after class.” The teacher said in a no nonsense voice and we finally went back to our seats, though my curiosity was killing me. I kept looking at him in class. He was not as tall as me and is a bit stockier. Well, he could be considered good looking and obviously he’s rich since he could afford to come for an exchange program from America. He obviously also known Junsu longer than I have. Where do all these guys come from? Why do I have some many competitors? First, Shiwon, now this Brian guy? What does a guy have to do to get some precious quality time with his boyfriend?
During lunch, the guy joined us at the cafeteria, sitting himself down beside Junsu automatically. To say I was upset was an understatement; Junsu saw and immediately changed seats, giving me a pat on my thigh to reassure me. He tried to follow but couldn’t since there wasn’t any more seats on our side, so he seated himself opposite Junsu instead.
“So who are you? Shouldn’t you introduce yourself?” I asked the guy, glaring at him.
“My name’s Brian, didn’t Junsu tell you who I am?” He said as he looked at Junsu pointedly. Seeing this, I also look at Junsu, waiting for his answer.
“You’re just a family friend, not worth mentioning.” This was said by Eunhyuk surprising me.
“His family and mine are business associates so we knew each other since young. He’s now studying in the States, I just knew that he was back yesterday during the event my family had at Jeju Island when his dad told me.” Junsu explained.
“And who might you be?” He challenged.
“Micky. I’m Junsu’s boyfriend.” I said, not seeing the little shake that Junsu gave at my words.
“So you’re Micky. I have heard some things about you.” Brian said.
“Like?” I challenged back.
“What does Junsu sees in you anyway?” He said. I was a bit frustrated at this point. Why does everyone keep saying that? Am I really not good enough for Junsu? This was getting repetitive.
“And you believe you’re better than me? If that’s the case, why didn’t he choose you?” I pointed out to him. Eunhyuk snickered at that. The rest of the guys were just keeping quiet and watching it from the side.
“Cause he’s thick like you.” Eunhyuk said which we both ignored.
“Well, we can always settle it the old fashioned way.”
“Fine. Spit it out.”
“A fight one on one.” He said. Why do the guys around Junsu always like to settle things this way. Well, I was never one to back down from a challenge even if it’s not to my advantage.
“Fine. Just state the day and time and I will be there.”
“Micky, you don’t know what you’re doing.” Junsu advised, trying to stop us and not having much success with my mind already made up. I needed to vent some of my frustrations since the last fight with Eunhyuk.
“Good, let’s settle it as soon as possible, how about after school today?”
“Good. Then it’s settled. I will see you after school.”
“Hyung, why do you do that?” Changmin said after Brian left us, agreeing to meet us at the gym near our place.
“What? I’m not letting some guy waltzed in and try to steal Junsu from me.” I said.
“Micky, I’m not a thing that can be stolen that easily. And how do you know you’ll be a match for him?”
“Like I said before, this guy is an idiot. Never think twice about his actions. Never look before he leaps.” Eunhyuk said.
“Ok. I get what you mean. How do you know I will not be his match?”
“He’s a 4th Dan black belt like Eunhyuk.” Junsu said. Damn, I should have asked about that first before agreeing to the match. Looks like I’m in for another thrashing. Yunho is looking excited as always at the mention of a fight.
