After a mediocre regular season (7-9), the Chicago Rush today capped an unbelievable postseason with a 69-61 win over the Orlando Predators in Arenabowl XX. The Rush's regular season started off rough due to getting a new quarterback and two new receivers. They lost their first two games and went 5-9 through "week 14". Threy then started a six game winning streak that ended the last two games of the regular season and all four games (on the road as underdogs) in the playoffs!! Talk about peaking at the right time! :-)
I am sooooo happy right now! A college buddy of mine is on the Rush and this will cap off his great career in the AFL. Bob McMillen this season set the career rushing record, was selected as one of the twenty best players all time in the AFL and, with today's win in the Arenabowl, he now has three AFL titles in his twelve years in the league. One with each of the teams he played on (Arizona, SanJose and Chicago).
