I hope I didn't make a mistake

I voted Liberals.

During the last election, I've always said that Jack Layton was and still is my preferred candidate. He's got the track record of getting things done when he says he'll do it.

The thing is...maybe he's TOO good at it. With all the social programs he's got planned, where do you think he'll get the money to pay for it? TAXES. And everyone knows we're taxed enough. Even if he does win (which he won't), I don't think he'll raise taxes as soon as he takes office. But the spending will start immediately to make good on his promises.

No additional revenues + more spending = deficit = economic slowdown = (if it goes on long enough) recession = harder for me to find a permanent job.

Yeah that's a very personal and selfish reason...but fuck you...you have a job.

The Liberals have gotten a lot of heat in recent years. Scandal this, commmission that. But I think that's more of certain individuals not doing their jobs properly rather than the PM himself doing a shitty job. Those individuals are most likely part of a union that made sure they kept their jobs. BASTARDS!!! The DFO scandal involved the exact same things that I handle in my job!!! How can operational staff let those expenses slip by??? If they did their jobs properly in the first place they wouldn't have that scandal. In contrast...I e-mailed a manager today telling him that his inspector overstated his claim by 27 cents. Now tell me, who's right...who's wrong??? (What have you done for me lately...)

Crime rates are skyrocketting. You can't blame the PM for that!!!! Take some responsibility for your kids and how you raise them THEN let's see how many shootings we have. A total ban on guns won't help the matter. That'll just create an even larger black market and the allure of the money to be made will tempt kids to get into the game even more. Wake up parents!!!! It doesn't matter if it isn't 11 o'clock...do you know where your children are??????

And the Tories??? Let's just say that if they do take power (which is a real scary possibility)...I'm moving to the US before the Americans that moved up here after the 2nd Bush win, wise up and realize that it's deja vu all over again.

Bottom line is....no matter what Gov't we vote in, there's gonna be critizisms, complains, arguments and general wah wah wahing. What we citizens have to do is take responsibility for our own country.

Don't like the crimes??? Whoop your kids' ass when they do wrong.
Don't like gas prices??? Sell your SUV and buy a ugly ass Smart Car.
Don't like taxes??? Pay for your own healthcare.
Don't like education cuts??? Stop complaining about the GST. (it's been 29384723984732 years since it was introduced....GET USE TO IT!!!!)

Yes my reasons were selfish ones. But if I don't look out for my best interests...who will??? The Gov't????

YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!!
