(no subject)
so heres a story from this summer:
john and i went home to ny the weekend after my birthday for the wetmiller family thing. we left thursday after work and flew home. friday morning john played golf with my dad for part of his father's day present. then john, my dad, my sister and i attached the boat, got in the truck and went to sacandaga. we all skiied (i remembered how!) and then john and i got in the tube (its a double).
like always my dad flings us over the wake and all that trying to get us to fly out and bump around. he succeeded. john and i hit (he didnt feel a thing) and fell out of the tube. when i came up i was crying because my jaw and head hurt. i got back in the boat and apparently had no idea why i was in ny.. or where.. couldnt remember a thing. they decided i needed to go to the hospital.
had to go to the er with the boat in tow. did a cat scan because my memory was bad- theyd explain what happened and id pretty mch instantly forget. theyd explain again- gone. they took me in and i freaked out because i forgot where i was/what happened and no one was with me. my dad was outside calling my mom and so john had to come into the room thing and explain to me.. then i had to pee in a cup. i handed it to john and told him i made him lemonade. a couple seconds later when i saw it again i told him again i made him lemonade. over and over. he said it was literally like every 15 seconds.
so i was diagnosed with a concussion. sent home. i start to remember things when i got home (familiar setting and all..). that whole weekend is pretty much a blur to me. i still have no memory of friday/boating. awesome.
since my birthday was the weekend before i remember what happened and everything but i still feel like it didnt happen. its just weird. i get thrown off everytime i remember im 22 now. i guess i was really sad when they told me i was 22 because i "missed" my birthday and the awesome present from john. boo. i remember now. OH! and i had just finished harry potter (book) thursday and forgot the ending! horrible. i remembered for the most part though. :-D
