So DC is in the works. As soon as we get an apartment, I'm giving my two weeks' notice, and peacing the fuck out of actors' equity. Swell.

It's the funniest thing, but David gave me this book called "The Present". I might have talked about it near the beginning of the summer. It's this "how to deal with shit when you hate your life" kind of motivational propaganda. It's not bad, but i completely forgot about it until he recommended "7 ways of being a highly successful blah blah blah". Now he's a great guy and all, but i can't get on that "this book changed my life" band wagon without a fair amount of resistance and skepticism. it's just my style.

That said, i have found myself inadvertently adopting some of the principles of "The Present". Like, i'm gonna ruin the book for you here, but.... "live in the present." obvious, but often difficult. especially when the present kinda sucks. i'm sort of looking down the road about a month, or even a week at times... and that just needs to stop. or... at the very least happen on a more monitored basis.

i'm gonna go live in the present while watching tv. i hope my words have inspired and touched your lives.
