(no subject)
I'm going to stop talking about how I 'haven't updated in a long time' because I decided I only update sporadically.
I hate school. I can't say that enough. Its not that it's hard--I mean, its just high school--but my personal life has totally diminished. And now that I work... well, its pretty much all dead. I've been updating my stories as sporadically as my livejournal... okay, maybe not that bad, but still.
And also, I'm irritated with my DeviantART account. I made a new account so I could get serious with my art. At first it worked out great--I was posting portraits and realism. But now there's a fuckload of anime fanart again. -_- So basically, I haven't changed at all, and I'm still drawing the same crap I used to. I wanna draw realism again but I haven't found the motivation.
Speaking of art, I joined my Art Honors club at school awhile back. We're having our first art show and me and my friend submitted our work. I basically drew all of the (Western) Zodiac signs and my friend colored them. It looks great and we technically submitted twelve pieces of art (since there are 12 Zodiac signs).
I just got back from Geek Kon, an anime convention in Madison, WI. Oh my god, it was so much fun. I did a lot of shopping--though, surprisingly, a lot of it was figurines. I have no idea why but I decided today that I really like them. I don't play with them and they really serve no purpose, but I have an odd attraction to them. o_o I think I just like looking at them. I'm kind of growing a collection.
But yes, I bought KHII Sora and a chibi Ayanami Rei. There were so many pretty Rei figurines that I wanted to get but I didn't have enough money. I can see why the NGE franchise is so successful--they're really good at making figures. Though I wouldn't do as good of a job as buying slutty figures or creepy Rei Ayanami bedsheets... *shudders at the idea of the bedsheets*
And its also cool because now my Roxas doll from ACEN has a friend. :) I wanna get Kairi, Riku and Axel, in that order. And maybe Mickey. It kind of irritates me that they haven't made Namine, KHII Riku, Ansem and Xemnas but whatever. Maybe they will in the future.
I also bought Wolfs Rain. I usually don't buy DVDs but I had the money for it. Plus I got a 10% discount because I joined the vendor's club. Now, if I can find them at other places, I can just show them my nifty card and get a discount...
But yes. Other than that, not much is going on in my life, unfortunately. I'm still hanging out with friends and everything but I don't have much of a life of my own anymore.
Tomorrow I'm going to hang out with my sister to celebrate my birthday (which I forgot to mention--its October 8th). If I'm not lazy, I'll come here and talk about it.
