Furniture shop!

I am looking for a furniture shop in or near Cambridge which is eco friendly, fair trade and all things good!

new stuff or second hand?

Emmaus just off the A10 is good - homeless people are trained up to restore donated furniture...

Don't know about new stuff though...

They do make some new stuff to order, but the quality's not great and it's pricey for waht you get. You could ask the pine places on the Beehive Centre about their sources and so on.

they do have a bit of new pine furniture - tables etc, but not properly finished...

There are shops along newmarket road that have pretty new stuff, at extortionate prices, and whilst their wood for tables etc seems to come from properly managed forests etc, i have no idea about the human rights aspects...
