music, water, and sleep
so lately i've been a total insomniac. last night i didn't fall asleep until half an hour before my alarm was supposed to go off. needless to say, i overslept and was late to school this morning. anyhow, being completely alone and bored in the middle of the night with absolutely nothing to do is an interesting experience. i didn't want to watch tv or be on the computer because i had a headache and my eyes are sensitive to light. so i actually ended up writing a song. so far it has 2 verses, a chorus, and piano accompaniment. i'm pretty proud of myself. for once i actually managed to express something i had on my mind through song instead of prose and be reasonably satisfied with it.
yay me.
anyhow, i saw RENT the other day. beautiful. i highly recommend it. the only movie i've seen in theatres where i actually cried. as in a single tear rolling down my cheek, but it still counts. but seriously, spectacular. i mean, pretty people, hiv/aids, and good music... what more do you need in a movie?
