I wish I could do some interesting, challenging, relevant work at school. I wish schools wouldn't emphasize grades as much as learning how to think critically and creatively. If we learned for the sake of learning, rather than for achieving a satisfactory numerical quantification of our success, kids would learn more subject material and they'd learn it more thoroughly. Whatever. I've voiced this rant several times and my singlehearted opposition won't do a effing thing to alleviate my situation in the middle of the mess that is the American educational system.
