health insurance

Beginning January 1 2007 I will have health insurance.
I haven't had health insurance since the end of 2003.
I haven't seen a health professional of any sort since that time at the end of my senior year in college when I had a suspicious lump in my neck.
The thing I'm most excited about is getting a prescription for my skin. Having a prescription drug plan is going to open up new worlds to me. Worlds where I have better skin and am highly medicated.

I am so excited about being able to go to the doctor. Because of my trashy background, I've always viewed insurance as a status symbol. So yep. I've made it.

Can we talk about being poor and running out of food?
While polishing off the last little bit of the Millville Crisp Rice toasted rice cereal we bought at Aldi two weeks ago, I happened to read the side of the box:

Good Morning!
Millville Crisp Rice is loaded with the great tasting nutrition of rice... one of the world's oldest known grains. It also provides 9 essential vitamins plus iron so it's even better. Crisp Rice is the beginning of a nutritious and wholesome breakfast. When choices from the other basic food groups like milk, fruit juice, toast and butter are added, your meal is complete and balanced.

I'm going on the record as saying that the toast and butter food group is my favorite.
Now I've got to see my toaster about making me up some cinnamon sugar toast.
