After having insurance for 2 years but no major medical mishaps, I finally hurt myself yesterday!
After spending the weekend watching tv shows on the internet and playing Super Nintendo (why, oh, why are the lost levels so hard?), I decided it would be a great idea to go for a walk. Not 10 minutes into our pathetic attempt at exercise, I stepped on a rock, twisted my ankle, fell into the street, and started crying like a baby. I really thought I had broken my foot. It was then that it hit me-- I'm an unemployed, pathetic loser with no real job prospects and no insurance. CRY. After collecting myself for a few minutes (in which time I continued to cry even while Jonny tried to hug me while still standing because there were ants on the street) I realized that I could limp home. So now my ankle is swollen and a bit bruised. I"m pretty sure that it's a minor sprain, but still! God.
If you will excuse me while I sew a bubble wrap housedress, refresh my ice pack, and return to bed to so that I may lie quiet and try not to invite injury with further physical exertion.
I made a video tour of the new house, but I can't find the camera!
