I just saw THIS ARTICLE recently and thought,

HUH, I'm oppressed by being trans? I didnt know that....

I dont really know if its because of where I live [Toronto] or what but I never really thought anything of it. I dont really agree with the author at all but was wondering how others felt about the whole 'cisgender' thing. I dont think putting ( Read more... )

i like the term cisgendered because to me it means "cool with my natural state" and to me transgendered means not cool with it. i haven't been following the cis- and bio- drama OMG SRY WORLD but i like the term cisgendered, and i'm glad i am. although i guess what i'm referring to is being cissexed. i guess i'm cissexual and transgendered. or not transgendered, depending on any given person's feminist sensibilities!

mootgendered. i'm mootgendered.

you're a platypus, clearly.

the more the author tries to explain the article the less I understand it. @_@ ""transgender" and "cisgender" in the terms of social movements." huh

NO YOU ARE STUPID I HATE YOU
I don't like the term cisgendered but I think you know that already. It just seems excessive to me. Although I didn't know there was any cis/bio drama going on until someone told me they didn't like me using the term 'bio-guys', but I always just did, when I had to pick one of the two.

Really? Is it like, a 'NO' word in some places? I really don't know. I was just surprised once when someone was offended by it. I use it because it makes sense to me. "Biologically" + "male or female".

i don't care! i don't care! i don't care! i don't care!

just kidding we are friends. i still like the term cisgendered, and i like it more than bio-whatever because it focuses on attitude or perspective or whatever, not biology.
