(no subject)
So, here's something that really pissed me off. My team leader came up to me and told me that I was selected to go to the Soldier Of The Month board. The SOTM board is a monthly thing where selected platoons get to send one representative to. Basically you have to go in there with your Class A uniform looking all spiffy and sit in front of a Sergeant Major, a 1st Sergeant, and the rest of the section leaders which are all Sergeant First Class. Then once youre sitting there you get drilled all these questions and blah blah blah.
Anyway, I was excited and I've been studying like crazy for it for a while now. Well, I was told today that my PT card is expired and I need to take a PT test ASAP. the next PT test is scheduled for the morning of the board. Which means that I'm not going, I'm going to take a gay PT test instead :( They said the next board I'm here for is mine for sure, but I'll be gone all month in April so I have to wait till May. Gay.
It did feel really good to be selected for it originally though. I think there are only two people from my platoon that have ever won. I'm pretty confident I'll take home the plaque ;)
