Okay. I have never gone to war myself. I have never served in the military. I don't think I will. I have many reasons for that. But that would be for another time another place.
I don't understand these people that rant peace. Did Suddam want peace when he invaded Kuwait? Did he want peace when he start to use chemical weapons against the kurds inthe north. Did he want it when he killed thousands of his own people. Oh I know, Daddy Bush told them to uprise. But a good leader knows When to step down. He isn't one. He took office by force. His elections are jokes.
I find it so hard to actually believe that everyone wants peace. ITS A DREAM. I would love to live in a world where my kids wouldn't ever have to worry about if some fantaic would bomb their place of work today. I would like them to be able to vist all kinds of places, places like Iraq or China or Brazil. Oh they still can. But most of what they will see would be different then it is here.
Oh, I know.. why go there if they weren't different. I mean they are different in SO MANY MORE PAINFUL WAYS.
Here, in the US, we don't go around doing Enthic Cleansing. Oh we did something like that in the past. We experiment on our own citizens. We don't do that now. Maybe someday that won't happen in places like Iraq. But, maybe not.
Oh we, here, have our problems. But we bitch alot more then we should. I would love to see half the people that bitch about the problems they think are so big, move to a country in Iraq. Better yet, to grow up there. To know how different it is. How much better we have it.
I am not saying that is why we should do this. I am not saying we are morally better then them. But as a country that knows about this (ie the way we treated the Native Americans, the way we treated african-americans and asian-americans, and other groups), we also know how wrong it is. And cause we know, we can correct it in others.
Oh, I know this old saying, and in fact I love it, and I know someone will say it to me about this:
"Let he who has not sin cast the first stone."
But we are all sinners. Some more then others. Oh, we might not go around killing people. We might not go around raping people. But we do sin in some way or another.
I cheated on tests. I mastabait ALOT. I sometimes envy what others have. I am full of pride. I am a glutton. I am sloth.
I know I am not the only one. We are all guilty of one thing or another. Like I said, some more so then others. But once we have sin, and know how wrong it is, we can do something about it. We learn.
And sometimes. There are those who can't. Like Saddum. He killed two of his own kids. HIS OWN BOYS. That alone should say alot about him. But its not the only. He hasn't learn his mistakes, other then how to not let us know.
So.. for those that don't want war.. go on. Keep saying it. I just want you to remember how much better you have it then those over there. Oh I know we aren't going over there to save them. That its about oil, that its about Bush having our attention outward instead of inward where we would end up bitching about all our problems and say what a bad leader he is. I don't like Bush. I don't. But, I have to give him credit for one thing. He has a good staff like Colin Powell and others.
For those of you who do not want war. The best thing about this country is that fact you can tell others you don't want it. You can actually say it in public or to our leaders (WHO ARE ELECTED). Over there... they can't. They would first be tourted, hanged, then shot.
I pity those who have such small minds. I know you are saying the same thing about me for wanting this war. But unlike you, I already thought about what it would be like to not have this war. And, I didn't like it. It might not be any better, but at least we can say we tryed.
