Doctor Who: The Movie Part Deux
The original Variety article about Yates and Doctor Who (which he wants to make into a movie). Apparently this comes with the BBC's blessing and, get this, "Yates made clear that his movie adaptation would not follow on from the current TV series, but would take a completely fresh approach to the material."
Still, why? I do not need three different continuities to run in my head for crying out loud! Classic and New Who is enough!
Plus, what's wrong with Classic Who? Why start fresh? Because Classic is too old with no SFX?
