Miscellany, DWM, and Eight!

Wow, I'm rather exhausted over my latest post, Day 1 of the Thirty Days of TV (and 30 really should be spelled out to Thirty; proper grammar now!), and I still feel like I'm lacking in what the show was about. After doing a marathon of Season 1, I was awed at the power it held over me and I'm sure that Season 2's ending will be the same. Just have to wade through the more boring bits first.

In an hour or so, my mother, her friend, and I are off to see The King's Speech at the big theater here around town, with nice seats, so I can finally say that I've seen it.

I've also got in the majority of my DWM issues through the mail (except for #400) and all but one of the Eight TPB, so pictures of them will be forthcoming by next Wednesday. I was urged along by jiji_bean to embrace my inner OCD (not that hard to do, really) and collect past DWM issues. Went a tad crazy with it, although I haven't broken the piggy bank, and I now have pictures that will go on my Flickr account sometime tomorrow. I'll also post to show them off, again at her urging, to the general public.

Have I ever told you that I tend to have a hoarding/collective OCD behavior qualities. It was really bad when I starting collecting comics and now I feel like Doctor Who will be my latest "must have everything!" obsession. Once, for a fandom, I created my own costume replica of what they wore on-screen with the help of an online forum. Now that broke the bank.

Oh, you want the fandom? Stargate SG-1 and I had a pretty good working costume of the normal BDUs they wore on-base and the off-world main costume throughout the beginning/middle seasons. Pictures of those will have to be prodded for.

I also got the second volume of the Eight comics which, to my great delight, includes Grace! She makes a come-back in the comics! *squee* I actually loved the chemistry between Eight and Grace in the movie, and could completely see myself shipping them, but the plot bunnies just aren't there. Shame, that is, real shame.

But, because I'm OCD and anxiety ridden, I need to read these stupid TPB volumes in order and the stupid British version of Amazon has yet to ship volume one a month after I placed my order. Oi! You! Across the pond! Get on it already!

I want to read about Grace.... *runs off to find volume 2* Yay!
