My body has experienced a nearly 30 lb. reduction in weight in the past four months.
I was curious about what change that looks like physically, so here is a basic comparison:
2-20-24, 247.6 lbs.
6-20-24, 219.8 lbs.
Now, which body is better? I insist on the assertion that both bodies are perfect.
Idk. Maybe you think both bodies suck. Idgaf.
Someone could analyze some set of perceived flaws, or deviations from societal or medical expectations of what a body should be.
But what I see? A resilient, loyal physical form that has served me incredibly well as a platform to experience life, relationships, work, emotions, and all other aspects of this surreal, wonderful, terrifying human experience.
I intend to reduce my load by another 30 or 40 pounds eventually, but I am in no rush. I refuse to be defined by numbers on a scale or my BMI. I just want to take care of myself, and whatever my body looks like as a result of that is exactly what my body is supposed to look like.
But yeah, damn, body. We've seen some real shit together. We've really been through it, haven't we? And we're still here. Ready for whatever's around the bend.
