I love writing. College writing? Ehhh....
Academic writing has very little in common with what I love about writing. Almost everything about the process annoys me in some way or another, and reading from these awful textbooks is the bleakest form of drudgery. I'm not exactly sure how to explain what bugs me so much about all of it, but it is something I experienced back in high school and now I'm receiving a (non-refreshing) refresher in college. I'm determined to eventually lucidly articulate my seething animosity for academic writing.
Until then, I'm going to 4.0 the pants off of this class and then proceed to take a shower all summer long to cleanse myself of this dirtiness.
