After digging for five minutes or so, T hits stone. Jonas uncovers the text, which of course says “here’s the stargate!”
Yes, it was a little too easy, wasn't it? *g*
I seem to remember from the behind the scenes thingy that the Prometheus corridors really were just one circle that they walked round and round and filmed from different angles. It makes me dizzy to watch, too.
1. I actually liked Ronson. I'm not sure why. He was completely unfriendly and condescending... I think maybe I liked him because he made a good, BELIEVABLE point about why he has to do the endless drills, and why SG-1 should shut up and stay out of it. He's being professional, and he doesn't really care if everyone else finds it tedious or annoying. I think he'd be a reliable commander. On the other hand, he seriously needs someone else to do the diplomatic thing. It'd make an interesting series premise, IMO. :)
2. I always picture the buffer as too huge to carry a spare. Otherwise, it's just completely stupid. Yes, that's a very poor excuse, seeing as they have a huge spaceship. *shrug*
3. Heh. Largely depends on whether I'd had enough sleep.
4. I think everyone would have a different meal. I have plenty in the house, but nothing in quantity - so someone could have a cheese sandwich, someone else could have the slice of leftover mushroom pie in the freezer, someone else could have the remains of that stew, someone else could have chips... :)
5. "He's a quick study." Repeat ad nauseum, until it seems like it makes sense.
6. I think he should be told off, but ultimately pardoned - he wasn't entirely wrong about not randomly trusting these seemingly-benevolent aliens (hello, Aschen, anyone? Just because they aren't shooting at you RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT doesn't mean they have your best interests at heart).
Thanks, friend! OK, whew, I'm not the only one who got dizzy watching them go around and around and around those corridors, lol!
1. I liked the *idea* of a more correct military commander/more correct military procedure... but man, Ronson is *so* condescending. I wish he would have dialed it down just a touch. But his character did take the pressure off of Jack, which was interesting, and put Jack in more of the Daniel role, which was even more interesting. Makes you understand why Jack acts the way he does sometimes with Daniel. Daniel has the freedom to just act friendly and build bridges, while Jack has to think of and be prepared for every conceivable scenario, most of them bad.
2. Hey, "too big" is a better explanation than forgetting to pack a spare! :)
4. That is a good strategy! Because if I had to feed everyone, it'd be rice and beans probably. I could pull off more complete meals if they were all different though! :)
6. Yeah, I agree. This ep had some very extreme personalities, but as you point out, it's the ones with no personality that you should be afraid of! :)

Yes, absolutely. I was watching 'Scorched Earth' recently, and Jack looks so much like he'd love to be in the position of not making the decision. He's stuck with it, and he doesn't shrink from the responsibility, but sometimes he looks like he'd rather be the one arguing the case for his side to some higher power. (But then I guess he has to deal with military higher-ups, and he remembers again why he does like being the one making the command decisions, in the field at least. *g*)
I'm not sure how big the buffer would have to be, to be too big to fit two of them on Prometheus... although, maybe they can't bring spares of everything they might need, because ultimately they'd need a second ship to pack it all in, you know?
Timing would be the hardest thing, for my 'feast'. :)

Timing would be the hardest thing, for my 'feast'. *nod nod* Especially if everything had to be heated/reheated in the microwave. :)
