Yesterday, in celebration of today's holiday, I spent the evening making famous black men and women out of gingerbread cookies.

I'm still sick. I'm still planning on getting down to California next month. Chris and Jeremy are still trying to convince me to move to NYC. Part of me would love to, as I currently have no musical outlet, I consider them to be two of my dearest friends, and I feel a bit stuck these days in Buffalo. Then the other part of me knows I can't leave my job because I pay about $1100 a month in bills, I have a wonderful girlfriend here, and I would end up strapped for cash like I was last year and every year before that. The only way it would work would be if I started applying now for some sort of full-time job in the city. That's hard to do when things are so comfortable. I am sitting on the fence between comfort and restlessness. I'm not sure what I want and I'm not sure what would make me happier. One thing I know I do want..I want to go see the New Pornographers/ Belle and Sebastian in Toronto. Nothing more for now.
