Have you ever wondered how to keep in touch with God?
I don't know why all of a sudden people have een talking about God, but I guess I should to considering it's a very important task in our life.
Have you ever wondered how to keep in touch with God? You would think that since He is such an important person, or should I say "holy spirit", would be impossible to talk to. Well, if your thinking this, your wrong. God has many outstanding qualities. He lets us speak our problems to him and give him thanks for all the wonderful things He's done for us. By doing this, you say a prayer. To me, I believe a prayer is like one big chatroom where you speak to God in your own spare time. But instead of Him talking back to you, he performs miracles.
I think saying prayers are important because not only you can keep in touch with God, but it's a way to forgive and thank. Saying prayers will draw you closer to God and become more of His friend each time. It is apart of your worship. Therefore, you have to pray.
But what about Jesus? Isn't he an important part of our worship too? Of course! In my religion, we should say our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, to show respect and to respect Jesus' position and that we have faith in his ransom sacrifice.
How should we say our prayers? Should we read from a book and memorize them? Of course not! We should speak to God with our hearts! It's OUR way of saying Thanks, not a books way....
What subjects can you pray about? You can pray about anything that evolves around your friendship with God. We should pray about his name and purpose. We can pray for forgiveness, materials that we need to live, and help to resist temptations. Or, you can just pray to God, just because you feel close to His heart.
Where can we say our prayers? You can say your prayers in a comfortable position, anywhere, anytime. But make sure that it's in a quiet place so you can concentrate. Remember, praying comes from the heart.
Do you say your prayers before meals and before bedtime? Do you respect and worship God the right way by speaking to Him? Maybe tonight before you go to bed....pray to God. Ask for forgiveness from your sins, ask him what you need. Or, just tell him a sincere "Thanks!" He'll appreciate very deeply.
Dont forget to pray through Jesus' name!
