Now that I have that out of the way...
It's 11:20 PM on a Wednesday night, and I am thinking of everything but what I should be studying. I have found all manners of distractions today that have pulled me from rigorous chemistry review. I don't think I really have time to start studying for French until Friday after my chemistry exam, sadly.
So much talking, or is it too much talking? Dissection is helpful, is cathartic, is satisfying to the intellectual mind. However, not everything can be taken apart, component by component, and organized into little drawers with labels. Sometimes you just have to watch the clouds roll by and revel in their pleasant beauty, without analyzing what kind of cloud, like cirrus, it is, or whether it means rain. Instead, look for the rabbit perched on its hind legs, listening, or for the dragon breathing fire across the sky to a knight at the other end of a battlefield. Let your mind wander, let it loose, let it free, let it explore all the possibilities. Restraints can be satisfying in their dissection. And you would never want to get too caught up.
And, anyway, who cares about reaction rates and cis-platin? I don't. I want to be a joker, a smoker, a midnight toker...or maybe just a dreamer.
But that's not possible.
