One hell of a wedding
Lee and I headed north for a quick weekend up in VanCan for our friends wedding & activites. He's from Lubbock texas, she's from romania. The wedding was Romanian Orthodox. Put your thinking caps on and then go to 11.
The wedding was mostly in "english", well heavily accented english and romanian. Both the bride and groom got crowns. There was chocolate handed out midway thru. There was old romanian ladies and dudes cantoring back to the priest, while some ran around and fixed the falling decorations. I'm not ashamed to admit we giggled all the way thru it (so did most of the non romanians). So did the bride and groom evidently.
The reception was on a boat in the bay. Much drinking ensued (yeah hosted bar). It only got wierder from there. The old romanian ladies and dudes danced and drunk us under the table. The scenery was amazing. The drinking was a blast.
I swear to god I haven't had that amazing of a weekend in a very long time. Every time I get to hang out with Lee's Dallas crowd I laugh till my sides hurt, my eyes tear and I go silent.
I can't wait to head back up this summer and spend time with the B&G as well as our VanCan friends we didn't get to see this weekend.
