(no subject)
Uggghhh! About a month ago, I was walking into an elevator at work and the damn thing closed on me. I had to force the doors open with my left hand! Well the door squished my right wrist and I've been in a brace ever since. And yes, I'm right-handed of course.
At first, the hospital said it was broken (which I didn't think it was, but hey I'm no doctor). Then 3 days later, I went to an orthopedic doctor who said it wasn't broken but if it doesn't get better, to call him. I've been taking some really good painkillers but they make me loopier than usual and at this point they're no fun anymore. One month later, it is still swelling up and still hurting so I went back today. They took a new x-ray......
It turns out that the ligament that holds the 2 bones together at the end of my wrist is split. This grosses me out. Ick!
Anyway, I've got to go to another doctor who will most likely order an MRI and possibly surgery. AAAGHHH!!! Too bad this is a Worker's Comp case. I feel the urge to sue if only for the fact that it's a major production when I have to go potty! :)
