Long Overdue Update! No Spoilers.

My last update was July 19th and I know what you're thinking.....Debi Who? Yeah, it's been a wicked 3 1/2 weeks. It's been almost non-stop here since I finally finished reading Deathly Hallows. I promised myself I wouldn't go online or check my email until I finished the book because I didn't want to see any spoilers but that's because I thought I'd finish it in about 12 hours, which is my average. Boy, was I wrong! I will post my thoughts and favorite parts of Deathly Hallows in a separate post, along with my thoughts and favorite parts of Order of the Phoenix (which I don't think I've done yet). I just wanted to let you all know I'm alive. I've got to catch up on all the DH happenings and fics and artwork. Any good recs?
Joe took me down to NYC to see The White Stripes at Madison Square Garden. They were brilliant! They amaze me. Just two people and they sound like five. They also made you feel like you were in an intimate club instead of a big concert venue. They were incredible!
My in-laws were here for a bunch of days. Don't get me wrong, I actually really like all of Joe's family, it's just that there were so darn many of them, all here at once. We all went up to Saratoga one day and I didn't win one single race. *boo hiss* We did a lot of family things in general. It was a fun time.
I came closer to getting my arts & crafts room organized. I think it will be finished by this coming weekend. We also worked on the yard and planted lavender, rose mallow, bee balm, day lilies, black eyed susans, and hostas. We've really neglected our lawn for the past 2 years due to the remodeling and it's looking much better than it did.
Ummmmm....I definitely missed something here. Where is everyone? WHERE IS SMUT WEDNESDAY??? *cries and throws tantrum* Why does LJ have a bug up its ass again? I've got a pretty good idea as to what they are deleting, but why? What brought this about?
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed Deathly Hallows and OotP and that you've all been well. It looks like I've got a lot of reading and catching up to do so you'll probably be hearing from me on your posts :)
