Still Gobsmacked...
I had a chance to catch up on my comments for a bit today and I'm still plugging away. I replied to the earliest ones first but read the ones from my more recent posts. I really shouldn't have read the comments from my Equus post while I was at work because I started to reflect on the play and meeting Daniel. I also had the warm and fuzzies over meeting browneydweasley and melusinahp for the first time and that pretty much made me useless for the rest of the day. Naturally, the more I thought about it, the "useless-er" I got, god help me.
In the day or 2 leading up to my Equus Days, browneydweasley had been trying to convince me that I should try and meet Dan and get his autograph because she was able to do it and was so darn sure I'd get to meet him too. She shared her plan with me, and I thought good and hard about it. We had gone to the Tower of London on that Wednesday and I lost my camera. Up until then, my luck had pretty much sucked and so many strange things were happening, so when someone was nice enough to return my camera to a Lost and Found Station and I was able to get it back, I figured maybe my luck was about to change and the stars would start shining on me. I was still skeptical about browneydweasley's plan though...not because I didn't trust her, but because I didn't want to get my hopes up. I have to admit I hadn't even considered trying to meet him or get his autograph simply because I thought I'd be embarrassed or crushed if I wasn't able to say hello. I'm an infamous "older woman" and I'm lacking a bit in the looks department so believe it or not I was feeling a little "shy". No...Really...I'm serious!
Anyway, I'm so thankful I listened to her! I'm also VERY thankful for my big boobs and that he's 17! That lethal combination is probably why I got lucky! *gigglesnort*

To melusinahp: I'm so very happy I got to meet you. After months of corresponding through LJ, I felt I knew you just a bit and now I can actually SEE you in my mind, you know? I can also see you because I printed out the picture my husband took of the three of us and it's on my bulletin board (with my pictures of Dan and signed program) until I get a proper frame for everything. I look forward to much more Dan-squeeing. YAY! Oh! And if you feel comfortable, please send me your address through my LJ email address. I've got your phone charm boxed up and ready to go.
To shocolate: Thank you for your wording advice and for our "mobile squee-sessions"! My cheeks were hurting from smiling so hard and I WILL get together with you next time I'm there - yes, hubby is already talking about a return trip! YAY! I had one of my "famous" Gryffindor phone charms to give you, so if you feel comfortable sending me your address (I think you've got my email address or you can go through my LJ email), I'd love to be able to mail it to you :)
To wendymalfoy: I looked for you on Thursday, but didn't see you. I'm so sorry and disappointed that we missed each other. I was looking so forward to meeting you. Maybe at the OotP Premiere, eh??? I had one of my famous Gryffindor phone charms to give to you as well, but since we missed each other, I will slip it in the mail for you seeing as I already have your address.
To Daniel: Thank you for your brilliant performance. Thank you for being so nice and so sweet. Thank you for being you. I shall love you FOREVER! *okay, I'm getting all misty eyed now*
