New Year's Eve was a blast and I had the best time, 'specially since I have had a cold/sinus infection and haven't been doing much lately. I have been watching an obscene amount of TV, which only happens when I am sick because normally I don't sit still long enough.
I judge the success of our shows not on how well we played, but on how big a mess is left afterwards. We were very, very successfull.
Got stuck at home all New Year's Day due to good samaratiness. Driving home at 3 a.m. we spied a fluffy four-legged friend wandering the freezing cold streets of our neighborhood. He jumped in our car so we became "responsible" for him. Ack. Walked him around the neighborhood in the snow until 4am looking for his house. I pick up a lot of stray dogs, and it seems it always happens on holidays when all the animal shelters and vets are CLOSED. We already have two dogs at home that don't like each other, much less other dogs. Tika has being very vocal about her displeasure over this interloper, and I know if we left the house she would have shredded the door even more than normal. My dog is an enormous pain in the ass, but I love her and therein lies the rub.
Because of all her complaining, I forced her to watch "Animal Precinct" so she could see how tough OTHER doggies have it. She pretended not to care, so I pretended not to care that she didn't care. I SHOWED HER! HA!
That's about it so far this year. Oh, well, Doug had some kind of intestinal trauma in the downstairs bathroom and STILL he let me go down there without warning to look for a DVD he couldn't find. That was just mean.
I go work now. Sort of. Blah.
