Where have I been, you ask? Glad to hear you're interested...!
I am right at the tail end of transitioning from one computer to the other. The new computer has a lot more memory, updated and current programs, and Windows XP on it, whereas the old computer had Windows ME which is incompatible with EVERYthing. Seriously! I couldn't download Firefox or Mozilla because my operating system was from the stone ages. I have a humdinger of a time trying to make much of anything work on it.
Not only THAT, but I'm still on dial-up... haven't had the money to get DSL just yet... most likely next month. And then I will finally be able to download all my pictures from the trips I took this year! I tried it on my old puter and it took 3 HOURS to upload 4 pictures! I am not exaggerating!
So... just a step at a time...
In other non-puter related news, in less than a week school starts! I just hope the loan people get it together before I have to pay a late fee... I got a letter from them that said my loan had been approved, for the full two-semester amount on schedule to be disbursed January 5th. About 4 months too late! I've been to the financial aid place twice... they've had to call the loan people twice... I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up eating that $100 late fee.
Additionally, I paid $200 for books... One of them, the writer's handbook, I intend on keeping. The rest I can only hope I'll get $50 for them, collectively. I've already started reading the Brit Lit book... I just can't help myself. It's better than reading a science book anyday! Except for Anatomy & Physiology or Microbiology when they start talking about diseases... I loved that stuff...
Anyway, I will hopefully be able to make a gigantic post in September. And preferably at least a couple of text-based posts in the meantime!
