More things, introspective

I've got quite a bit of gray hair coming through in my hairline and my part.

I think about moving a lot, but I don't know if I'll be able to.

My mom and dad finally had a long talk and are going to trade in that POS Mazda for something new for me. The Mazda has no air conditioning, is prone to overheating, and the transmission is starting to go. We were sinking so much money into the damn thing that it just wasn't making any sense to keep it around. So we'll probably end up getting maybe $200 for it and then I'll have a new little car, like a Chevy Cobalt. It'll be nice to get back into a shorter car. When my mom told me she was thinking of giving me the Lincoln so they could get a new vehicle, I almost freaked. I HATE driving the Lincoln. I mean, I'll do it because my parents are kind enough to give me a car when I wouldn't have one otherwise, but it hydroplanes easily, handles like a tank, and is nearly impossible to parallel park. I'm grateful, however, that it has a/c and working innards. We won't mention the gas mileage.

My folks are getting the house ready to sell. When it sells, they're going to move to a suburb 30 miles from Springfield, Missouri. And my sister and her family are going as soon as my brother-and-law has a definite transfer opportunity from his company. When everyone leaves, I will be here in Memphis on my own. They'll be about 6 hours away. Not happy about that.

My twin nephews turn 8 tomorrow! Their party is on Sunday and I won't be able to go. :(

I finished class today at 12. I don't know what I made on the final, nor do I particularly care. I don't care what I made in any of my classes this summer. I'm just glad to be done with them. Glad to have 5 1/2 months of freedom in front of me. All the little things I put aside over the course of the past few years are all going to be possibilities now. I'm looking forward to having a clean house and exercising more and seeing my friends. And READING! And WATCHING MOVIES! I'll be getting my money's worth from Netflix!

And of course I'll try to spend as much time as I can with my parents, my sister, and her family. Looks like getting a new (read: reliable) car couldn't come at a better time.
