Before you do anything else, get that red tape. It's your only protection against the ghost... have you got a weapon you can wrap it around?

[The voice might sound familiar to you, but if so it's a good deal younger than you remember.]

[Reno was instantly on alert, after all, the last time he'd seen Cloud, the blond had tried to kill him, so the caution was much to be expected. Though the swordsman did sound significantly younger.]I have my emr, I never go anywhere without it, not even Medical.

Reno, Department of Administrative Research. [The introduction was brief, and he noted that Cloud had said Zack was here, as well as Angeal. Two people that in his time were dead. Zack had died only a few months before, and Angeal had been dead for five years. So for them to be here, his logical next question was were they ghosts too. . .but if by some odd twist of fate Cloud was younger, he'd freak the kid out by saying that.]

OK, it's tied around my EMR. . .the ghost's buggin' outta here. Hey, Cloud? Thanks man. . .I owe ya. [Reno, despite what had happened just a few short days ago by his reckoning, was not completely ungrateful, and the fact that despite this strange place these people were familiar was a godsend.] I'm gonna get my room secured, then try to get some food and clothes and do some recon, if my legs will hold me.

The DAR... [He's heard of that section, but doesn't know much about it. As far as the name 'Reno' goes, he might have heard Zack mention it before, but it doesn't ring any huge bells.]

Yeah, that was five years ago for me. [Reno decided then that he would trust this Cloud, because this Cloud didn't have any particular beef with ShinRa, so he was "safe" so to speak. He also decided that he wouldn't say anything about what had happened after that, because if no one had told the boy what happened yet, Reno saw no reason to taint the kid's innocence.

It'd be mighty appreciated if ya'd show me around until I'm steadier on my feet. Last mission I was on, I banged up my knee real bad, and it's still healin'.

609 yo. I'd rather not catch you up, really. A lotta shit happened that I'd really rather not blow your mind with if I can avoid it. But it's good not ta be there, I think. Better, at least at this point.

I might take ya up on that once I get my bearings. Right now I can barely walk, but I'm pushin' through the best I can. [Reno was not telling the kid that he was part of the reason the redhead could barely walk. He might have a sadistic streak, but even he wasn't that cruel]

I won't tell 'em anything beyond what they would already know. Partly for the same reason I'd really rather not with you.

Yeah, I do. . .quite well in fact. We got. . .kinda a strange history. But I feel I can trust ya, and that helps.

As for defendin' myself. . .both my arms still work, and I got the place taped up. It's just the damn knee that's makin' life difficult for the moment.
