Practical
1) Is anyone going to a midnight showing of Ironman tomorrow night? I can go with my young roommate, but I feel like I haven't seen you guys in months, what with working every Saturday night!
2) Does anyone know - I'm trying to watch movies online through Netflix, and I need the latest version of Windows Media Player. Unfortunately, I need to be running Windows Media Center 2005, and even though I got this laptop in December of 2006, it's running 2002. I'm having trouble figuring out if I can download an upgrade. Netflix doesn't really support this issue - they tried, but they just don't know. I called HP - who made my laptop - and they wanted to charge me to extend my warranty since it's been over a year. Now, I bought the extended warranty from Best Buy, so do I talk to them? Why wouldn't my computer have come with the 2005 version? Isn't that a defect that they would have corrected within the year? And it is really just too bad that I didn't realize it until needing this particular upgrade to a new version of Windows Media Player until after a year? I even sent the machine back to HP in November to replace a faulty wireless card. Shouldn't they have caught it then? And therefore shouldn't they fix it now?
3) Waitress was a brilliant little film! Clever and laugh out loud funny with surprisingly dark and very real moments. Highly recommend!
4) Still accepting all donations of any and all kinds for supplying a bedroom/living space - and to an only slightly lesser extent a kitchen. Linens, towels, pots & pans, glassware and decorative items that bore you! :-D
