The Malnosso; that's what's going on.

[a small breath] Do you need help? Physical help? I can get Dr. McCoy, if you need him.

I was fine -- if a little tired -- before I decided to go tripping through the forest after the Malnosso were done with me.

[A pause, and then where her voice was snappish and frustration, it's small and frightened.]

Guess I thought I'd finish what they started.

[gently] If you're hurt, we can come find you.

I don't even know you.

[voice]

[tehoniongirl]

No...I suppose you don't.

But I could find someone you do know? Someone you trust?

[there's no sign of offense in her voice. She's just worried]

... Archie contacted me. [There's hesitance in her voice, somewhere beneath the fright and anger.]

[Archie. Good. The artist instantly sounds relieved]

You know Archie. That's good.

He's a friend.

[voice]

A good one.

Is he coming to get you? [please say yes.]

Yes, he is. [It's small and quiet and answers both: he's a good friend and he's coming to get her.]

[Good.]

[knowing Archie was on his way was a relief, but she still doesn't want to leave her alone. Not upset and potentially injured]

I'm Jilly, by the way. So now we aren't quite as stranger-like.

[voice -> video]

[A pause.] Alexis.

[And then Alexis switches to video, in hopes that Jilly will do the same. She'd like to put a face to the name.

... Even if it means showing off her dirty and tear-streaked face.]

[she understands the gesture...but the girl is a failure with technology. And also not a huge fan of the video feature. There's a long enough pause that it might seem like she isn't going to reciprocate...before she manages to turn the damned thing on. She's worried. Maybe obviously so. But she manages a small smile once she sees Alexis's gaze shift in that way that says the fiddling had worked]

[Alexis doesn't smile, but she does nod before she switches it back to voice. Self-conscious over appearing dirty and disheveled over the journal, she doesn't feel up to more than that.]
