All in all- I've had a fucking awesome week. It's been amazing, really...
The main reason for this will make itself apparent over time, hopefully this summer it'll become painfully obvious. But it's resulted in my being in a fantastic mood, with a brighter future, more self-respect... And I've gotten some good old retail therapy done to seal the deal. I think I've decided that I'll be wearing more red this summer, and more skirts and dresses... I ish excited.
Today was our annual "purity day" at school... You can probably guess what that was about. The timing was utterly ironic, but it was a lot less awkward than usual. We watched a dvd of some sex speaker, but she was hilarious. I mean, I think this woman's my new hero- not for her subject matter, but for her public speaking skills, and all that sarcasm put to such a good use... She kicked butt. That obviously made the subject easier to handle. Some favorite quotes involved "God wants you to have great sex!!", and when Miss Headings accidently coined the phrase "Spiritual STDs". And then there was the unavoidable "Let's have all the older teachers share more about their sex lives than you want to know!" bit. But as I had Mrs. White, that wasn't so bad as it could have been... Seeing as the seventh grade boys got to hear from Mr. Ryerse. When compared to that, I could deal with any other teacher in the school... xp
Tomorrow I'm visiting VCU and the U of R with my school... If you happen to be there, say hi!
And once again- Thanks for hanging in there with me, and putting up with all my emotional crap. You guys are such amazing friends... I'm pretty certain I'm finished with all that now. It's exciting, no? I'm alive again... <3
